Kind of an interesting post on TVSpy on recent ratings demos for the local stations. Can't independently vouch for the poster's info, but it sounds like KTVK and Fox10 are dominating in those prime advertising demos sought (i.e., $). Although 12 is #1 in the pm ratings war, they trail 3 and 10 in the demos.
I suspect Fox10 will see a pretty good bump in the Feb sweeps from both the Super Bowl and Idol.

Everyone always talks about ratings and that it one way to rate TV stations. The thing that makes TV stations money though is demos and right now KTVK is #1 in the am #1 in the 5-6:30pm block. While KPNX is #1 in ratings at 5, 5:30 and 6pm, they are way back in the demos. The two stations that dominate the demos are KTVK and Fox. KPNX, KPHO and KNXV are all skewing older. At 10pm KPNX and KPHO are close but their demos aren't spectacular.
I would say that KPNX even though they're not killing in the demos, they don't have the big payroll that KPHO has so I would give them the edge as far as a company goes, Fox os still making decent money but has a high payroll in the am and pm. KNXV has very little payroll and doesn't do very well.
