DENNIS FERRER on 92.3 NOW!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iicyNKzIF5A

At 7:40PM on Friday, June 18th, I heard 92.3 Now play this track! ;D For those of you that don't follow dance music, or outright DETEST it, you would not know or care about the significance of this. But from a dance music point of view, this is HUGE!

This is not the first dance track that 92.3 Now had played. However, "Hey Hey" is groundbreaking in the sense that the roots of this track comes from an underground house angle (played in the NYC dance clubs like "Cielo" and "Pacha") and is really something that I would never have expected a CHR station to hop on to. A station like Party FM in Long Island....YES. To hear it on 92.3 Now was a pleasant shock! :D . If Z-100 were to have played this, I would have a coronary! (okay DToTheJ, you're probably on the phone right now calling Z to request this! lol)

Seriously, to hear dance music on a CHR station, especially something as edgy as this, is a blessing and I hope more CHR stations throughout the country get behind "Hey Hey".

92.3 NOW...thank you! :)

I like dance and all, but this sounds like it was left off the SATC 2 soundtrack...not feelin' it man.

Admittedly this is a much more edgier track than I would expect a CHR to be on top of. In the NYC underground clubs (mainly the house music venues), this track is HUGE. To me it has a very delicious flow to it, especially with those edgy vocals (done by Shingai Shoniwa). I would have NEVER expected a CHR to put this on rotation! :)

Okay...MMMthehitz, how about this one?

Better...and where as you enjoy new stuff being played in NYC...I'd like to hear some of the great stuff from the last decade:

Gigi D'Agostino - I'll Fly Away With You

I love the heritage in our music too :) I just figure, let's add on some more for future generations of fans to follow :)

Though, and you'll probably ROTF on this one, everytime I would hear the Gigi D'Agostino track, I would picture "The Bugaloos" (yes, THOSE Bugaloos from the 70's, lol) flying around gliding all over the blue sky all happy :) And, NO I didn't "take" anything to think this! ;)

Why not...lol

I believe its been getting airplay since either Monday or last week. Not a big fan of this track, too bland... though, I am a fan of the ADD SUV track. Hopefully 92.3 NOW plays that or any other club bangers 8)

Wow... Gigi D'Agostino...remember hearing that on 'KTU and here in Boston on Star 93.7 (R.I.P.) back in '01-'02. But, you need this version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-EbNi-7Sg0&feature=related
Much better, dancier and the blah blah blah sample is great...

Speaking of Dance classic tracks, I remember hearing Everything But the Girl - "Missing (Todd Terry Remix)" for the first time ever in 1996 on 'KTU. It obviously ended up being huge later after that. Does 'KTU, Now 92.3, or even Z-100 give that great track a spin the gold category nowadays?

Maybe once in a blue moon, 'KTU will give it a spin. 92.3 Now and Z-100? NOPE.

If anything, Lite FM and Fresh 102.7 would play it.

Ironically, I just checked yes.com and they just played it at 7:19 this morning. LOL!
