Central Jersey Dennis Malloy to step back from Dennis & Judy on WKXW

I haven't seen any article posted about it, but Dennis Malloy announced on-air today that he will be stepping aside from the Dennis & Judy show at the end of July, but will remain part-time with the station. No word on who may replace him. Dennis had already stepped back to 4 days a week earlier this year, leaving Judy with a rotating slate of guest hosts on Fridays.

Maybe it's coincidental, but at least around here, everyone has taken down their NJ primary election signs except Bill Spadea's supporters. They're keeping up his signs with a radio microphone on them. So I won't be surprised if he's coming back to NJ101.5.

I quite enjoyed Dennis & Judi back in the day (I guess it was the late '90s?) when they were doing lifestyle-type talk. They were hilarious and, even as a 20-year-old, I listened to them every day. There seemed to be a clear demarcation where the hosts were told to become hardcore political activists. Additionally, Dennis leaned hard into "get off my lawn" crotchetiness and Judi... Well, Judi just went off the deep end right into the Kool-Aid. I tried tuning in a few times over the years, but I always had to turn them off after literally just a few minutes. There's obviously an audience for the shilling, but it's a completely different show than when I was a listener.
