Dennis Miller coming to WHK

It looks like Dennis Miller is replacing Mark Levin (and the brokered "Kelly and Co.") in the late evenings on WHK starting March 1.

Miller, while syndicated by Dial Global/Westwood One, airs on a lot of Salem conservatalk stations around the country, so it was inevitable he'd wind up here.
 
Great. Just what we need. Another guy with snide remarks who blames every problem in the country on one party.
 
I don't like Mark Levin. He's a less effective Dr. Michael Savage and sounds like a crotchety old Munchkin.
I don't like Dennis Miller whose schtick is unappealing to me. I mostly see him on "The O'Reilly Factor" on The Fox News Channel.
 
That will give him a broader audience. Right now, the show is carried on WELW (at least it was last time I listened) at Noon.

Not much broader.

WHK is actually UNDER WKKY in Geneva in the Cleveland Metro quarter-hour ratings, with not much more cume than them!

The Salem talk stations (which are commercial stations) pull practically NO ratings in ANY market, but Salem has deep pockets and a political agenda so the service will stay on the air and the talent will get paid regardless of the ratings. Must be nice.

I can't stand ANY talk radio where their entire routine is to blame all the problems on the other party.

I believe I have made myself clear on this point many times.
 
Well let me be the first to say that I was a fan of Mark Levin & since he won't be on WHK anymore I'll just tune him in on WJR out of Detroit.

I had heard that before Westwood One was bought out by Dial Global, WW1 was paying stations to carry Dennis Miller, and I am assuming Dial Global is continuing the practice. Because the one true agenda Salem has is getting people to pay for airtime.

I don't think they would boot a brokered show (Tom Kelly) for a show that doesn't ante up.

They may very well have an "agenda", but if they were really part of the "conservative movement" (or as leftists would say- "right-wing conspiracy") they wouldn't have so much pay-toilet crap on their "news"talker, nor would their biggest & best AM signal be a preachers-only pay-toilet.
 
Is Dennis still on 1480 WHBC in Canton?

If WHK wants to be a player, but without local talk, they should've gotten Glenn Beck when he was on WEOL and WHLO, and should still pick up Hannity. Those can at least get them some decent numbers.
