Dennis Miller off WOAI

Dennis was on last week. I heard the promo for this show for the first time this morning. This is a new development.

FWIW, I never thought Dennis was a good fit in this market.

Next, I'd like to see WOAI drop Coast to Coast and pick up "Texas Overnight" with Charley Jones.

I've always been amazed how passionately some people hate Coast To Coast. There is and always will be in my opinion a market for that kind of show.

Texas Overnight is a pretty good show. However I wouldn't want to see it take over for Coast to coast.

Why would WOAI ever want to drop Coast to Coast? Don't they stay with a proven winner?

When'd that happen? They've plugged Michael Berry into the 8-10p slot.

More "local" then Dennis Miller even if Michael Berry is based out of Houston: http://www.ktrh.com/pages/michaelberry.html

Discovered Michael Berry on WOAI.com when he was filling in for Joe Pags a couple of months ago. Michael Berry said he had visited SA on occasion
and mentioned why he loves SA. Maybe he asked WOAI management to be carried on WOAI? He impressed me as being a great spokesperson
for SA tourism when I heard that speech. Maybe he will talk mainly on local SA issues?

Michael Berry empresses me as being just another right-wing talk show host.

I don't really hate Coast to Coast, I just feel like it's lost its way since Art Bell left.

I'd be just as happy to see KTSA pick up Texas Overnight and toss Bill O'Reilly overboard.

So is this a fresh show for San Antonio or is it a taped version of the show he did from 5-7 p.m. for KTRH?

He is also listed for KPRC in Houston from 2:00-5:00 PM. If he is live on WOAI, that would be
a seven hour talk marathon for him. Three hours on KPRC, two hours shows on both KTRH and WOAI.

Dennis Miller has been moved to WOAI's sister talk radio FM station KRPT 92.5 The Patriot Per Michael Berry's page on WOAI. From what I heard it seems it is another taped replay show.

C 2 C is just merely entertainment, with as much credibility as Phil Hendry.

Love it or hate it, it's just another manifestation of CC's business model: get the most work out of the fewest people for the least pay.

Most talk hosts spend several hours of prep for every one on the air. If Berry's on seven or eight hours a day on three stations in two markets, either he does show prep on his own time or he doesn't do it.
