Dennis Miller Show

I heard a promo this morning just before the 6 a.m. news for the Dennis Miller Show weeknights at 7 p.m. on WCRN-AM 830. They had been carrying Michael Savage weeknights from 7 to 10 p.m. Of course any weeknight show would be pre-empted most nights for Red Sox baseball.

The web site doesn’t reflect the change yet and with the recent departure of Mike Roberts it may not get updated for awhile. The Dianne Williamson Show is still not on the website talk schedule and neither are some recent weekend changes. I understand that Bob Hokanson and Marc Caron have recently joined the station from cross-town rival WTAG.

I'm sorry everyone; for some reason this topic posted twice. I agree with everyone else who wishes there was a way to delete one of our own posts.

Ah OK but this week no Red Sox games Mon-Thu, and the Fri game doesn't start till 10. Miller pre-emptions
would pretty much stop after season ends though doesn't WCRN carry Celtics too?

I think Miller's show would have been a better fit on Worcester's newest talk station, WNEB, 1230 AM. With less chance of pre-emption, he could have followed Sean Hannity and his buddy Bill O'Reilly.

Yes, it's west of 495, but you can pick up WCRN in Boston before dark. Their signal is stronger in Boston than WRKO's is in Worcester, for example.

Isn't Worcester west of 495? Who cares about it then....

If you take a look at the Board listing it specifically states Worcester as part of the Boston board radio discussion. I thought the Boston provincialism was a relic of the past; I guess I was wrong.

Boston
For discussion of radio in Boston, Worcester, and Cape Cod.

Wow...someone can't take a joke. Sorry if I upset anyone who lives in the dump that is Worcester. Does it matter where Dennis Miller is broadcasted (is that a word) from? If it was still 1991 and his opinon counted for somthing, then perhaps it would. He'll just be another kind of funny right wing national guy trying to do what Rush has done for twenty years. If he's on at night he wont put a dent into WBZ or WEEI.

Worcester is a dump? Way to alienate a rather large chunk of this state's population!! Can I then assume you feel Worcester radio is dumpy as well? If you're trying to be funny, hold on to your day job. The comedian thing isn't working.....Meanwhile, back to the subject at hand, radio. (After all, radio is in the name of the website, not criticizing cities). Dennis Miller is reasonably entertaining on the radio. Doesn't mater if his slant is left or right as long as the program is worth listening to...at least to some people.

Yes, Worcester is a dump. It's on par with the Brockton's, Lowell's and Springfield's of the world....all dumps. Is Worcester radio dumpy? I would only assume so... but living down on the beautiful south shore I have no reason to listen to anything out of Worcester. As far as alienating a chunk of the state's population, oh well thanks for paying tolls so I dont have to when I take the southeast expressway into Boston. But back to the topic at hand... since when is "reasonably entertaining" a good thing? I don't want to tune into something and maybe be enetertained, or entertained within reason. I would like to be entertained to the fullest extent. This is the problem with all of these syndicated talk shows. I'd rather listen to Peter Blute.
