Dennis Takes Potshot At Finneran

No different than Carr doing so, really.

Howie does it all the time of course and once in awhile he gets suspended for saying bad things about Entercom, etc. When equipment doesn't work he talks sarcastically about what a great company he works for, a station on "a great broadcast band" (AM), and he's made fun of WEEI's declining ratings.

This afternoon Howie used Sal DiMasi's conviction to rail against Finneran. Calling out "Felon Finneran" is nothing new but this was the fisrt time I heard Carr's rants bleeped off the air. On several occasions what Carr and at least two callers said about the RKO Morning Co-host was not hear over the air. I don't know if those listening on line were able to hear an unedited broadcast. What Carr said was probibly nothing new but management may be getting tired of their afternoon host speaking ill of a another employee.

I have heard Howie bleeped before and yes I heard it again this time. I don't know if people listening online heard what he said but anyone "on hold" on the phone probably did.

Howie might wish they'd get tired of his situation, even if it might make him less desirable to
poss. employment at Clear Channel or Greater Media. Otherwise he wouldn't keep doing it. He is
stuck with them till next fall.

This is COOL! Reminds me of when the hosts from the old WNEW-FM talk station took jabs at each other... In this case, it involves two sister stations!

This is nothing new. D&C rip Finneran all the time. Callahan especially, when the death penalty is mentioned. He holds Finneran personally responsible for there being no death penalty in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts. I find that funny because even if we had one, "Wyatt Earp" Patrick and "Annie Oakley" Coakley, our law enforcers, would never allow it to be used.

They've graciously called him "The Felon" (often times without ever referring to him or his show officially) since the day he was hired.

For the amount Heslam takes jabs at them you'd think she'd have picked up on the fact that it's nothing new.
