Denny Substituting For Bill Bennett On 920 . . . Plus Sekulow . . .

Denny has been filling in for Bill Bennett while he has been on vacation. I am not quite sure what it is, but I just do not go out of my way to dial up Denny since he first appeared on WGST (RIP).

Bennett on the other hand is the thinking man’s thinker. Bill has had talented associates assisting him with the show since its inception, very interesting guests, and his contemplated perspective on matters worthy of discussion. Bennett is a talk show gem. Did WGKA make a poor decision in preempting the Bennett show with Denny? The folks that fill in for Bennett are not always equal to Bennett, but was Denny a wise choice?

Additionally, was it wise for WGKA to drop the third hour of Hugh Hewitt and broadcast Jay Sekulow in its place? The limited amount of time I have listened is extremely boring and repetitive.

Salem pre-empts the first hour of Michael Medved in Tampa each day for a paid stock market infomercial. Just saying that factors other than trying to get listeners may be at work here.

i'm glad some1 brought this up. i have thoroughly enjoyed 'denny radio' AM edition, but i do agree that dr. bill is a much better morning show host. however, i find denny's fill-in much more refreshing than the staff members that fill in for Dr. Bennett. he takes alot, and i mean alot of time off.

i'm getting the repeats of denny's morning fill-in during his pm time slot after 9 pm.

I think Denny is pretty shallow by comparison, and tried listening for 20 minutes or so, and gave up. I'm getting tired of Rick Santorum on Fridays, but thoroughly enjoy Seth filling in, because he brings such deep knowledge to the table. I actually subscribe to the podcast since the radio signal is nonexistent in East Cobb most of the year.

Hate, and I mean HATE that Sekulow hour. Every single night they talk about that stupid NYC mosque and ask people to call in and buy a DVD (and presumably wanting donations). I know most of the other hosts on that station go into religion topics, but none as overtly embarrassing as this crew. Is 920 being paid to run this hour? I'd much rather have Hewitt back again. I'll listen for a couple of minutes each night and turn the dial until after 9pm.
