DENVER-BOULDER ARBITRON RATINGS: MARCH 2011

No surprise. KOSI continues to dominate.

Should another station flip to AC to give KOSI some competition?

The Lincoln Financial combo of KYGO-KQKS also had a great March.

If anyone can flip a station, Clear Channel could. Here's how.....

* Move KBPI (Call, format, everything) to 93.3 & flip 106.7 to AC

* Flip 106.7 to AC & put KBPI out to pasture before it loses the respect it has left

* Move the Classic Rock music currently heard on KRFX (Though NOT the name-specific format or the call) to KBCO 97.3 (Who would, when combined with its current format, then become a WORLD CLASS classic rocker by default) & flip 103.5 back to AC (Remember 103.5 was an AC station before it went classic rock)

Thoughts?

Cheers ;D

Not that much talk on KJHM. Im out of the market but i listen on my iphone. They play a few good hits but it sounds like Rhythmic AC more than Rhythmic Oldies. Can you guys hear the station if you live in the Metro or is it a rimshot?

It reminds me of when Cha Cha was on the old KS-104 back in the late 80's...she brought her jams along with the sketchy rimshot reception to Boulder. I can't even hear it in central Denver...just like back in the day!

Two Clear Channel AC stations on 106.7 AND 103.5??? I don't get it?
No. Just one AC on either frequency. I merely listed them both as options :)

Cheers :D

I'll put it this way - Unless you're in a car, KJHM may as well be a Part 15 station as THE ONLY way one can receive the station is via its webcast :(

Cheers :D

The audio on the webcast is low too I tried emailing the station but the link doesnt work. Im listening from LA and it sounds way better than KHHT current state.

Why kill off a station like KBCO, that is regularly top 5? It makes no sense.

I never said kill KBCO. Just move the music from KRFX (Which would be the one killed) over to KBCO since it plays much (If not ALL) of the same music anyway. This would free up the 103.5 frequency to be flipped back to an AC that would give KOSI some serious competition (Which it hasn't had since KJCD left 104.3)

Cheers :D
