DENVER REALLY IS PARTYING.

I've been searching through the different rhythmic AC's.. so far, DENVER'S KPTT REALLY has the right sound. They look great in the ratings too. Good job, Clear Channel. Anybody else have any comments?

I think CC is doing an excellent job with 95.7. However, I think a real adult urban format will take off here in Denver. If anyone had the balls. It's obvious that the listener's taste has changed, but the Denver radio formats are still the same. It makes one think: "who's running the show here in Denver, the listeners or the people with money?"

Anyway, thank God for streaming music on the Internet and satellite radio in the car.

IMO Denver still sounds like a cowtown!!

LOL. Better than Dayton, OH where I live. CC didn't make the best decision dropping the imaging though. I mean, more music, but less exciting.

I've been saying that every sense CBS Demised Jammin 92.5, i miss and can appreciate what Good music used to be like, 95.7 does play some older late 80s and 90s R&B hits...but then they want to mix in the Crap so-called Sh*t Hop music on 107.5... that inspires Drug Dealing & being a Thug.

If your looking for a Good Ol school...Good music station.....check out magic 92.5 in San Diego.

Money is the ruler and demon of what formats gets chosen and played here..... it's funny that Denver is still labeled a "Cow Town" but if you listen to 107.5....it sounding more Thugish than ever. that's why a True Top 40 hits station is needed here in Denver.

Really? As opposed to.......??? And unlike......where????

As Opposed to Nothing........welcome to the new Age of Coporate Radio Takeover......
it's even worse here being this is Supposed to be a Top 25 Market..... ::) ::)

Money has always been the factor for what people play, especially after 96-97 when radio became consolidated. As for THE PARTY, I think its a pretty good station, but not necasarily my favorite Rhythmic AC, but who cares what I think as long as the station is making money and serving the P1s in Denver. I still prefer the first and orginal Rhythmic AC in Seattle, which is also doing pretty well. I also like Jammin 105.9 in Texas, either San Antonio or Austin.

However, I have been listening for the last 30 minutes and have only heard 1 ID coming from a commercial break.
I think all cc stations are doing that now, cc stations in the number 4 market are doing it too, I hate it too, what happend to the jingles?

Thats what I thought Robert, I knew both markets had a Jammin, but wasnt sure which was which. Jammin in San Antonia was the old Rhythmic and Dance 102.7 RIGHT? The old KTFM,,, I think they still use the same calls.

Correct. KTFM was at 102.7 until they flipped to that short-lived K-Rock back in 2003. Border Media Partners bought the calls back in 2005 after it acquired KLEY and replaced their Regional Mexican format with Rhythmic Oldies. Ironically, BMP also owns KJXK, the former home of KTFM.
