5 people I spoke with in the last 2 days were GLUED to their radios, when Depetro went wild on PRO.
One guy was 15 minutes late for an appointment . All to see what would happen next.
If WPRO tried to 'control' this( make believe it didn`t happen) they lose!People will tune OUT.
This is action talk,it`s what makes ratings.
Dan Yorke and PRO should do SOMETHING with this gift given to them. Something creative. If PRO plays it safe , the audience will go back to 'same old' mode.
Take the ball and RUN!

. Yes, youre very right, it was sick, but not of PRO. Its the way things are. Its the way the public is . I wish it wasn`t that way....

True, but I think fallriveractive meant that they could talk about this whole thing on Monday. At least that's how I read it. I apologize to fallriveractive if I misread his post. They would have been wrong to keep it up on Friday, because it was a Katrina benefit. And from what I heard, they went back to the hurricane benefit fairly quickly. I was planning on being late for a class so I could listen, but they went back to asking people to donate, so I made it to class on time.

I think it could go good or bad for WPRO if they talk about this Monday afternoon. After all, there was an article in the ProJo, so people who weren't listening now know about the situation. Some people will say they're just after ratings if they talk about it, but I believe a lot of people will listen just in case there is a mention. They could exploit the situation if they want to.

Just my opinion.

Thank you Kerri. That IS what I meant. Thanks.

So what if it was a Katrina benefit.
Yorke wasn't keeping his commentary limited to the Katrina aftermath.
Yorke even had a guy call up and drop the F-word on air in a
diatribe against DePetro and that was BEFORE DePetro showed up.
Dan's reaction to the F-word being used during his Katrina benefit
was giggles and laughter.
Dan Yorke was the big loser here.
His audience heard his macho mouth go silent when the source of his
prior macho talk was standing right in front of him.
