Has Rush been flushed?

On the WRKO web stream, they are not permitted to broadcast the
Rush show on the web. Same for Drudge on Sunday night.

DePetro "Certifiable" ??

Wonder if DePetro will be checking into the fashionable East Side Providence "Clinic"?

No big surprise. But I can't see that the Whittimore, the new GM at WRKO, will put up with John DePetro's irrational behavior.

Don't be surprised if The Independant Man is really "Independant" soon.... that is without a broadcast outlet in Boston.

WRKO has nothing to do with this and should not get involved.
Having heard the episode live I can tell you I would not have taken
the personal insults that were thrown DePetro's way either.
What's really humorous here is how Dan Yorke was exposed for being a
big phoney. For those of you who've never heard Yorke he's a one of
these macho types, full of bluster and big talk.
He had DePetro face to face and all the opportunity in the world
to tell him what he thought of him face to face and Yorke sat there
like a mouse.
DePetro was out of line but Yorke came off looking like a bully
who was put in his place.
It really was great radio!

I'm almost picturing it as being like the moment when Al Franken confronted
Michael Medved, objecting to the fact that he was to be on the same show as
John "Swift Boat" O'Neill (pix of which are at a conservative site, forget which one).

Checked out RI board. One message poster says it might just be a setup and that JD will soon be on WPRO (isn't there an opening with Kass leaving?) while another said this means JD has screwed up any possibility he could get a job at 'PRO
(if, say, 'RKO were to dump him). Would he go to WHJJ, if they decided to
junk AAR for conservatalk? (And of course this is all dependent on whether
he'd be leaving Boston to begin with)

Wonder if he'll be silent about this come Monday on 'RKO? Or if someone brings it up he might get (as J. Williams would say) "...annoyed..."

One post said DePetro lives in "EG" which I assume means East Greenwich.
Does he commute all the way to Guest St. or is there a Severin-like setup
with Indy man doing his show from the 401 area code?

No, he'll think this:

1) DePetro is still a Providence, not Boston guy

2) He's a somebody in tiny Rhode Island, a nobody in Massachusetts. No improvement after a year in Boston.

Exactly. Rush's contract forbids it, as does Drudge AND Noory which is why they
re-run Howie Carr at 1 am. For the heck of it I went onto the WRKO webcast
just before Howie was to begin his 3 pm show, and they were indeed running
a "Radio Rewind" of Skoot and Blotto--er, Blute and Scotto.

Anyone who is free to listen to the radio from 9:00 am through noon weekdays and doesn't listen to Stephanie Miller is a booby and he or she belongs in the booby hatch.

WHAT?! Everyone streams Rush. There are few remaining exceptions for Dr. Laura and Hannity anymore either. Why can't one of Rush's top affiliates get streaming clearance?
