Depetro working 6-10 AM shift this week on WPRO

Guess the obvious question is who fills the 5 hours between 10 am and Yorke's show at 3?
Perhaps Buddy's in for 2 hours and then Rush for his usual 3?
Could be that PRO can't just drop Rush immediately.
 
I don't think Buddy is moving into radio that quickly. They'll find some one for a short while, and Buddy will gradually move into the spot.
 
Seems like everything is rumors surrounding the Buddy Cianci thing. So far, I've heard:

* WPRO went to Buddy with an offer and realized that WHJJ basically backed up the armored car with cash from corporate
* Buddy wants to go head to head against Depetro (so that would mean WHJJ 9a-12p)
* Buddy wants PM drive (his old slot from the 80s) (so that would mean WHJJ 3p-6p) unless PRO is ready to move Yorke
* WPRO is at the end of the Rush contract so they'd like to put Buddy there (WPRO 12p-3p)
* WPRO could move Depetro out and replace him with Buddy (WPRO 9a-12p)
* Buddy is a friend of Ron's, so WPRO would be the place to go
* Now Ron's out for the week (supposedly) and his contract is up (supposedly)
* Some postings down on this board, somebody said clearchannel was in talks with both Buddy and Ron
* Word in the halls at citadel is that Ron may not be resigning with PRO

Basically, we've got the rediculous and the sublime here. Speculation is all we have to go on. Nobody knows anything except Buddy and his lawyer, so unless they'd like to grace this board with a posting, none of the stuff we've heard on here can be considered true until one station or another holds a press conference with their call letters behind Buddy. But then again, speculation is fun ;)

I've also read that RKO was trying to lure him in. I dunno how true that is, and considering when asked, Buddy told the media in wanted to live in Providence again, I can't see it happening, though you never know

Why couldn't he live in Providence again!?! That makes no sense
 
According to the paper this morning Buddy's already signed on with a radio and a TV station, the latter no doubt to do some political analyst work. Btw it's not normal for a station to move their morning talk host to the 6 am shift so he can fill in a non-talk show shift.
Something is up! You don't disrupt Depetro when whoever is filling in the 10 - 12 slot could be filling in the 6 - 9 shift.

'Cianci said he will definitely live in Providence. He also said that he has signed contracts to appear on both local radio and television stations, but he would not give specifics.

“It’s already settled, but I’m not going to tell you now,” he said, joking that soon he’ll be doing interviews himself as a member of the media. He said he will not return to politics.'

I dunno. I really don't things don't make anysense anymore, leaving my brain or heading in.
 
There was a promo a short while ago on WPRO saying that John D.
would be on from 8:00 a.m. to noon. That makes more sense. But where does that leave Ron?
 
I believe Ron st Peirre looks at Cianci as his" I GOT A JOB IN RADIO ' card. He's burned and I mean BURNED alot of bridges . Cianci will take St Peirre were ever he goes. As for what Cianci says, are any of us to believe ANYTHING a racketeer says?

OK perhaps I'm the only confused one here, but did you accidently reverse all the names? It would seem to me that Cianci would look at St. Pierre as the free job in radio card. It also would seem more accurate to say that St. Pierre will take Cianci to wherever he goes. Not the other way around as you wrote it.

Maybe I'm just tired. Feel free to clarify things if I am wrong.
 
Cianci may be a hotter commodity than StPierre at this point although who knows if he will still have an audience?Quality of the show or host doesn't matter.If no one listens to the best station in town they will not last.If StPierre really were to move to WHJJ where would he go?Mornings?Middays?I am betting the letters PD would be part of the package.

I'm sorry; but seeing the limited response firsthand at Waterfire the other night; he'll pull numbers and there is one thing Buddy could always do is talk......
