Desert Island DVDs

So, you really pi$$ed off someone in power, and as a result have been exiled to a deserted island. It's not so bad -- there is decent native food and a clean water source. And your enemies have graciously allowed you to take some things to alleviate the boredom -- a jam-packed IPOD, a goodly supply of books, AND......exactly 10 DVD sets, each representing a full season of any TV show you choose. (Fortunately, you also have an indestructible solar-chargeable DVD player, but I digress...) You can mix and match individual full seasons from different shows if you please, or even take 10 seasons' worth of one long-running show that you REALLY like.

So, check in.....which seasons of which shows would you want to have? Limit 10.

1-5) The Twilight Zone, the original run
6) Branded, the first season only
7) Rollergirls, only one season made
8-9) Mary Tyler Moore, the first two seasons only
10) SheSpies, the first season only

Interesting choices (to say the least). Branded is a highly underrated series, IMHO. But Rollergirls? Really? No accounting for taste, I guess. ;)

SheSpies momentarily puzzled me, especially since it is a series that seems to have come and gone without my taking any notice of it. Then I saw this photo. OK...now I understand... ;D

...just to clarify, the Rollergirls referenced here is the 2006 A&E documentary about derby skaters in Austin, not the similarly-titled 1978 NBC sitcom. (Although looking at Marcy Hanson in the latter isn't a rough chore in itself)...

...SheSpies ran for three eps on NBC in 2002 before entering first-run syndication. The first season was a wild spoof of spy adventures, with sharp comic dialogue and really imaginative direction; the second season, alas, took the series into more traditional waters...
