Deskins out at CC - Bloomquist Next?

WGST will be gone forever. Women don't have a clue when it comes to talk radio.

CC's Atlanta problems started long before Deskins.

What is this Rodney, 4 in 5 years?

I TRULY believe the WORST JOB in Clear Channel is Atlanta Market Manager - its a job meant for people to fail at.

With Deskins gone and Bloomqiust not far be hind maybe CC in atalnta will turn arround. I've said all along they were the problem. Maybe this new lady can get the Bull going.

Just ask Tammy "Planet Radio" Lloyd...

Without yet having seen or met her, I will bet that she is somewhere on the 7-10 babe scale. . . typical Hogan. Hogan was talked into spending a ton of $$$$ on "Gallup" by Kim (give her a 9+). . . Hogan signed the check even after he explained that the Gallup service was nothing more than voodoo magic. And, as it turned out, none of the stations could afford to use it.

Hogan falls into this babe trap, way too often. CC University is another grand example, along with SVP who oversaw Atlanta for several years. The end result is disastrous, but they look good doing it. Go John!

Next you'll be telling us that McCain out Palin on the ticket because "she is somewhere on the 7-10 babe scale". Its 2008. Give it a rest. Females do actually have a brain - often times smarter than Men, as Neil Millman often proves - and its rather insulting to suggest that she got the job simply based on her looks.

Just because Deskins was canned doesn't mean that Bloomquist will be out too. She will be overseeing the entire cluster. I don't think GST is CC Atlanta's only problem.

That being said I would not be shocked to see Randall go...but he might stick around for a while. You can never tell what is happening in the minds of CC Atlanta!

new gm has an ac past
bull dead after baseball
hot ac on 94.9 in 30 days

Now that would be a train wreck...B98.5, Star, and a resurrected Peach all going after AC! With True Oldies and the River nibbling at AC as well it's the mid-80s all over again!

For those of you playing at home, the mid-80s players were WSB 99FM, Peach (having just flipped from Beautiful Music, the last ATL station to do so), Fox 97 (having just moved in with "hits of the 60s, 70s, and 80s"), Lite 106 (short-lived AC format between moving in as top 40 Wide 107 and flipping to Y-106; 106.7 also played with oldies in the interim between Wide 107 and Y-106), and 94Q (soft AOR, not unlike the River).

Now there were 6 AC stations in ATL in the mid-80s, but there would only be 5 today if this came to pass...Someone's missing here--wait! That would be WLTA/Warm 100/99.7.

So...

(wait for it)

How would this affect WLTA Warm 100 Warm 99.7 Power 99 99X Q100?

Changing back to AC on 94.9 would not be a smart move,Star,River B98 that wouldn't work. CC needs to keep 94.9 Country with Eagle gone. They play alot of the songs that Eagle use to play. I think mixing the old country with the new is the best way to go.

She's going to bring in a PD to fix THE BULL and turn it up. She
was the GM at Entercom Seattle when KKWF went on. She wants
the same sound for The Bull. Count on it. No AC.
