"Desparate Housewives" second season opener.

Did anyone get a chance to see tonight's(September 25th) installment?

PS: Can't wait to see what was really in that basement.

It was a great episode but the unending number of commercials cut into the suspense terribly...just as it is worthless to watch a movie on American Music Classics anymore.

Just as they were about to kill Housewives by running all of the repeats last spring, they could eventually lose me as a viewer with what seemed to be an unusually high number of commercials being run during the show.

That's what my wife and I were saying last night about the commercial breaks during the show. It seemed as if they would do a two and three minute segment of the show and then go to what seemed like an endless stream of commercials. It seemed like every segment of the show would be shorter than the segment before with longer commercial breaks in between. It just wasn't a problem with "Desparate Housewives". "Grey's Anatomy" also seemed to have more commercials breaks than usual. As far and the plot on "Desparate Housewives" goes, I saw the storyline of Zach Young being the son of Mike the Plumber since last spring.

Re: "Desperate Housewives" second season opener.

Great show - although the story line of Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) really pales in comparision to the rest of the story lines. If she was writeen out of the show, I really wouldn't miss her.

Also, does anyone know if they hired Steven Culp to play the dead Rex for the episode?

And how about that basement finale! Wow!!

That ending was very unexpected. The storyline could work well for ABC, because many people, who aren't regular viewers and happened to watch it last night may be inclined to tune in in the coming weeks to see who the person is in the basement.
Edited by ChrisConfalone on 09/27/05 12:37 AM.

From what I understand they may not bring him back anytime soon.

Judging from the previews, it looks like this storyline might involve Susan and Mike (If Betty's son gets hired by him).
