"Desperate Housewives" Cancelled

Re: "Desperate Housewives" Ending

They prefer a different choice of words. "Ending".
Meaning, it will still air until May 2012, then vanish. vs. being pulled right now, or having one last airing this Sunday...something like that.

ditto.......only good thing is they didn't grind it into the ground for 4 more seasons
like they do a lot of other shows.

I've never seen it. What's it about?
And yet it's worth contributing that to the discussion. :D

does anybody really want to see a 58-year old Teri Hatcher throwing herself at men? ???

If she's still hot, then by all means the answer is yes!

Terri Hatcher is a hoot when the writers give her something to work with. Her guesting role on "Two and a Half Men" several years ago shows her talent for comedy and in season one of DH she had several memorable scenes. IMHO DH would have become even more popular than it is if the writers had kept the black comedy element. Instead, they dragged it back and forth between comedy, pathos and baseline soaper and it lost its identity.

Four of The Five Main Characters on DH are pretty much old enough to be grandmothers-Very sexy grandmothers, and Eva Longoria (Gabby) happens to be the youngest-At 36.

Maybe somebody will pick it up like NFL Network picked up Mark Fein.

Given the route many cable networks have gone, maybe it'll end up on NFL Network - wasn't there that one episode where one of the housewives dropped their towel at Terrell Owens? ::)

Personally I became tired of the show about two years ago and have stopped watching it. The ratings (if you believe them) indicate a number of other people have also dropped this program from their regular viewing habits.

The past several seasons have definitely not matched the first season but there still is the occasional good episode. Given the rest of the crap on network TV right now it seems a show has only to be 'good' to be 'great'.

She's 47. Over a decade off there

Yes I know she is 47. I was asking whether it was wise for ABC to run this show
for another decade. But given where the Baby Boomer demo is headed perhaps the
answer is yes?

That was the opening to a broadcast of "Monday Night Football" when it was still presented by ABC.
