speaking of D&C, anyone catch the "rap" that Dennis allegedly did in the 80s. I have to admit it's funny--if it's real--but if you missed it, I'm sure they'll play it another 25 or 30 times before 6 PM and a few hundred more next week. I have to admit that the childish humor on that show makes me laugh because it doesn't seem nearly as malicious as the attempts on the morning show.
I hope someone has video they upload to YouTube.
Will Lobel play it over the weekend?

In between cocktails, beers and crushing hangovers, he will!

These guys were just vocalizing the feelings of a lot of "Joe six-packs" out there. In other words, folks who work some thankless job all week and still struggle to pay the bills.

i definitely consider myself to be a 'joe sixpack'...and i certainly struggle to pay bills.

those clowns dont speak my feelings. im not a racist, homophobe and i sure dont question the religious convictions of others.

give joe sixpacks a little more crredit.

we all arent dullards and rubes.

Amen.

I suppose D&C are only reflecting the ignorance of their audience and many others. In point of fact, the exact cause of death of Mr Ledger is still unknow. It is speculated that it was suicide. WEEI would be a Marcel Marceau concert without speculation.

Suicide, when it occurs, is the tragic result of clinical depression and it may appear unintentional or "death by irresponsibility" or the ever articulte "stupid" but alas, it is far more complicated than that and deserves sympathy, compassion and caring. Something that D&C and some others may be incapable of offering.

Today, the dim twins were disparaging Gov. Patrick's concern for the hopelessness of those who live paycheck to paycheck...the fear and anxiety that so many live with, fear and anxiety that is often at the heart of depression mentioned above. THEIR main concern is where they will stay, what they will drive and where they will play golf in Arizona. Well, la-di-freakin'-da! Can one be any more detached with the working man or woman? Makes Imus and Stern look connected to the human condition.

D&D did not push the envelope of bad taste. They embody ignorance, selfishness and moral superiorty.

Feel better about yourself now? Feel proud? Validated? Good, I'm glad. And I am soooo glad that you're not a "racist" or a "homophobe" though I don't think we needed those words here - as they are not helpful in anything but to squelch free speech. But, there was no need to tell me that - unless you're implying something to try and shut me up. Which I do not think is appropriate here.

Then again, a "real" Joe six-pack probably isn't hanging around these boards or worrying about this.

Unfortunately, your pontification completely missed my point. Particularly when it comes to the public's feelings about people who have it all and toss it away with all the care of an old hamburger wrapper.

Further, my comment was not meant to give D&C's comments a pass (which were in poor taste). They were trying to tap into some of the tension that exists between the over-hyped celebrity world and the average listener. I never said that they succeeded in this case.

Personally, I am pretty ambivalent about the whole issue. Heath Ledger wasn't gay - he just played the part in the movies. Nor does that matter to me. Didn't know anything about him before his death. Basically, to me, he's just another celebrity who had it all and blew it. And, I have more important things to worry about. Let his family greave in peace and let's not hear any more about it. That's my view.
