Destined for greatness

If you can find them in the import bins, two outstanding new singles are "Your Kisses Are Wasted on Me" by the Pipettes (Memphis Industries) and "Separated by Motorways" by the Long Blondes (679). They are two very sharp female vocals to break up the boys-club tedium of alt-rock radio.

Both are outstanding; if I may, let me also direct you to the B-side of the Long Blondes single, "Big Infatuation". Flapper-ish in a Siouxsie sorta way...

And The Pipettes are nourishing a heavyweight Phil Spector jones...check their MySpace page, which has video of the single.
