Wow! WYCD really plummeted this time around! Did that many of their listeners flock to WNIC or where else did they go, since Nash is still towards the bottom? I know Holiday ratings are as useful to YCD as 6+ numbers, but when was the last time they were not in the top 10?

BIG win for WNIC despite them not being the only game in town for Christmas music. Starting first wins the game apparently. WWJ and WJR had the most notable declines amongst the top stations, where listeners apparently tuned into WNIC instead. WMGC's ratings remain absymal, but perhaps the recent improved play by the Pistons will help in the next rating period.

The drop for WYCD clearly was due to listeners flocking to WNIC. NASH has impacted that station despite it not pulling better numbers.

Read these, at home, last night. Paraphrased comments:
Me: Wow, Christmas was a real winner, this year. WNIC really did well. About triple the previous period.
Wife: That is sad.
Me: Sad? Going all Christmas music made them the big winner. How is that sad?
Wife: Christmas is over.

Christmas ending is always sad. At least we have this December to look forward to......
Hey, it all starts up, again, in about 10 months!!!
I'm thinking of taking our Christian Country station in Lexington all or almost all Christmas. It would appear that the all Christmas music guys hurt Country. It would stand to reason that if the Country guys programmed Christmas music, friendly to that genre, they'd win.

I think you could take a pretty broad playlist, just omit some of the more 'poppy' sounding recent hits. I think that would play well in Lexington.

You mean Lexington, MI, right?
