It's the Ann Arbor cluster that goes, not Detroit.

Clear channel already sold off the Ann Arbor cluster to Cumulus for a station in NE Ohio. Until i see official conformation form Clear channel that the Detroit cluster is on the market i wouldnt believe a grain of salt from the WXYZ report. the only stations CC is selling is markets 101-300 and the non rated Markets

Now that DOES make sense. CC owns radio stations in markets that mom-and-pop operators don't even want. They have WYNT-FM in Upper Sandusky, Ohio...which went dark for five years after they first went on the air in 1986. But apparently, some of these stations looked good to them!

And they paid the price with some of their stations...they tarnished their image by shutting down a lot of AM stations in northern Michigan. There's still a lot of angry people in Houghton Lake over the demise of WHGR, for example. WFNT in Flint is another. Need I say more?

We have official word
DETROIT IS SAVED!!!

Thanks for checking. That report was inaccurate. Clear Channel is not selling our Detroit stations. They are some of our very best stations, and we will continue to work with our outstanding team there to serve Detroit listeners, advertisers and community with the very best in quality radio broadcasting.

Thanks again, and have a great weekend.

Best,
Lisa Dollinger

If they're giving up their Detroit stations, they must REALLY be in trouble.

do your homework folks. ann arbor is being spun

your TV station (if that is indeed what they said, that the detroit cluster is also being sold) is mistaken

it was reported, that ann arbor *not the motor city*
is up for sale; ok, ( since i am from NY) this may be
moved, to the Ann Arbor forum(if there is one),
-
but did any one catch the asking price for
the 5 FM / 2 AM stations, in market #147 (ann arbor)...
i believe it is #147, plz correct, if i am mistaken.

i just happen to glance, to see ann-abror, on
all-access, to see the market size number,
and how many CC/ has in that market.

ok, thanks

Don't tell me this thread it back. It never should have been started in the first place.

The FCC website lists station transactions.
