We have a small studio here, looking to become a bit more sophisticated in a few months -- mics, soundproofing, space- management. And a small separate building has been okayed by zoning.
I'm essentially looking for a digital, 2013 version of a triple-deck cart machine. Olden days you'd put a cart in each bay and fire them at will. Usually, the entire loaded machine came up on one pot.
Is there a device available -- or a program available -- that can do this via touch-screen? The main mix (voice, music) would be coming up on one pot. This 'device' ; this push-button effects immediacy, would be on another pot.
It's difficult to imagine that one could not have developed over the digital years at a reasonable price.
Maybe even on some freeware site.
The last system like that I heard about was $1100. I'm not sure I heard right.
I'm looking for a touch-screen thing rather than a separate computer with 70 WinAmp icons which all need a mouse click. The mouse misses its cue too much.
As I mentioned, we're fairly new to the game. Any and all responses welcome!
