Lex and Terry are Good
The Regular Guys on 93.3 arent to bad
Bo & Jim on 92.5 Is Good
Pending where you Live 93.1 has a Good Show

I switch between The Willis Johnson Good Morning Show on KKDA Soul 73 and Dunham & Miller on KTCK 1310. I love the Dear Crooner. Check out Willis and KKDA....its the best community radio station in D/FW.....PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very much agreed. It's a shame that KKDA (AM) is often overlooked when great, community-involved radio in D/FW is discussed. My morning listening, much like yours, is divided between KKDA/Soul 73 and KTCK but also includes WBAP.

Is Bobby Patterson still on KKDA-AM? I used to love listening to him back in the day... haven't gotten a chance to swing by to that side of the band to tune in.

As a side note, when do the PPM numbers for DFW April 2009 come out?

I listen more these days, as I drive the kids to school.
I really like Bo and Jim. I also like WRR, and I think Amy Bishop is doing a first rate job. I also like KTCU and Russell Scott.
I am very fond of Jody Dean, and while I respect what he and his crew are doing, the forced laughter doesn't work for me. Neither does the music. It's still a pre-set, though.
For some reason I listen less and less to the news stations.
The Regular Guys show is a big dissapointment. Extended interviews with topless dancers? It's been done. I keep trying to find the "THERE" there, but it's just not there.
I'm going to check out KKDA and KNON. I sometimes get KNTU and The Range, and on occasion that funky station in Commerce. Mostly, though, it's 92.5 andf 101.1.

yes he is...comes on at 9am.
It just does not make any sense that KKDA does not have a website, unless you count www.willisdacrooner.com the defacto website.

You know, as a whole, if you like Classic R & B and Classic Soul sound, KKDA 730 AM has a darn good playlist. Mixed in, you also get some Classic Top 40, since allot of the Classic R & B and Classic Soul was Old Top 40 music. Their news coverage isn't bad and the jocks are pretty good - been around for awhile. Some stability there.

Jeff, thank you as always sir..I figure since my eyes are too weak to drive, It wont be that hard to navgate "THE T". I checked out the regular guys this morning..interesting...Im really digging that station as a whole..my only problem is lack of coverage in the northern metro (Denton/Mckinney)

The Trinity Railway Express is a great way to get from downtown FW to Dallas. Doesn't run on Sunday though. We are working on a streetcar system that will connect downtown to the cultural district and the near south side. Similar to the system in Portland, Ore.
