DFW loses a tiny bit of religious programming

This may turn out to be nothing, but just in case it's the beginning of a trend, I noticed that both English and Spanish speakers have lost a religious channel recently. Hispanics lost Almavision when KVFW/38 went silent, and Anglos recently lost "Worship" on KPXD/68.4.

Not that there's any shortage of religious programming; in fact, there's still a huge surplus IMO. But I thought it was an interesting development.

Was there any filing related to KVFW/38 going dark or did they just pull the plug and walk away from it? I didn't find any correspondence in the FCC's TV Query.

Kind of along the same lines (maybe), WFAA/8.2 has resumed airing Sunday morning worship services. I don't remember which church. I thought that was quite interesting, seeing as how church services was a staple of Sunday morning TV broadcasting in the 1960s and '70s.
 
As Bob noted on another thread, KVFW/38 is back. It's no longer Almavision but it still seems to be religious.

So only Anglophones have lost religious programming in the past several months (Worship, and Genesis's English-language channel).

Well, this may be the dumbest thread I ever started. (Wishful thinking on my part?)

68.4 (Worship) may be gone, but the other Godcasters are doing just fine. Besides 38.1, Hispanics recently got Pasion por Cristo on 18.2, and Anglophones got 38.4 and 51.1-4. (Not to mention KQFW, coming to Garland soon on channel 56!)

I meant 18.2, referring to KPFW, but KPFW's RF channel is actually 29, so if it's not in your tuner you'd have to tune to 29.2 or rescan to see it. (Presumably KPFW and KTXA will do a channel swap later this year, after which KPFW's RF channel will actually be 18.) Originally 18.2 and 18.4 were the same, but KPFW recently put Pasion on 18.2 while keeping MCTV on 18.4.

Since I posted that, I saw that KVFW added yet another religious broadcast on 38.2! It was in English (at least for the few minutes I watched).
