so i guess, hope, well who cares at this point.....Jim monahan is on vacation so here's the morning show....Tony Paige, Lindsey Klein (who does 7-mid) and then piped in Jacklyn Carl and Karen Stewart.....is he trying to star a morning zoo????? I mean Tony has proven he cant do a midday shift without screwing up and sounding horrible......and he's more than proven he cant manage a station (look at the talent that he let go for cheaper inexperienced jocks) and now he is giving mornings a try????? Lindsey isn't even at a college radio level she is down right horrible on the air and to hear pro's like Jacklyn and Karen next to them REALLY shows how bad they are (that's when you CAN hear them cause Tony kept saying there names and they weren't there)

So you go from a 1 man show with Jim (1 man cause i guess either nobody wants to work with him cause he's boring or they cant afford that anymore) to a bad and I mean VERY bad zoo like show with the ever untalented Tony Paige steering the ship.

Greater Media it is official.....WDHA the legendary rock station of NJ for 30yrs has completely been destroyed! If this was the goal well then good job. It cant get any lower this is now the bottom.

Can we get WNNJ a stronger signal so we can hear the BGB again???? I only get it for about 5min on my way to work (parsippany) then I lose it.

If there is a god WDHA will bring back Moorehead....but I know that will never happen

WDHA is Done! WNNJ FM sounds GREAT with their music and sound quality and lets not forget Rob Moorehead in the morning with the BGB. He's not going anywhere any time soon. He's a keeper on WNNJ. Anyway as far as Tony Paige goes with running WDHA what a joke. The guy is clueless. I do admit he is GOOD at something and thats EATING!!!! I met him at one of WDHA's events and Wow he's huge. He should take away some time from eating and learn how to run a station. He's been there long enough so whats he waiting for an invitation. Well here's your invitation LEARN AND GET A CLUE!!!! Lets start with some kind of NEW theme on the weekends. It's the same stuff over and over. Next thing to do is LISTEN to what the listeners are telling you about what they think about possible Ideas. Whether he agrees or not anything is better than whats going on with WDHA now. It doesnt matter if Tony Paige is on in the morning, midday, pm drive, nights or over nights he has no on air talent. Lindsay is Ok but Selina would have been a much better choice for filling in during Jim's time off. I don't think Karen Stewart is anything to be cheering about either. I'm surprised that WDHA hasn't jumped on the Voice Tracking Band Wagon like alot of other stations are already doing. Atleast that does save some money for some potential professional talent on DHA.
 
Guys, this is ridiculous. I admit, that some of the moves by DHA over the last few years made me scratch my head, at the time, but these personal attacks are baseless and mean. The fact is, that DHA's numbers went UP in their home market in the Spring, and have been steady in their secondary markets. You are wrong with your facts, and your personal attacks based on weight, etc, have no place here. One or both of you were obviously wronged by DHA or Greater Media at some point and you have an axe to grind.

Please, go grind it somewhere else.
 
While i won't personally attack......(never saw the new morning show) I used to love WDHA. Not now.......really poor presentation guys..........very college. The TourBus and BGB and outstanding jocks were that station......Why not bring the BGB back? Are they that cheap? really - if you're making a change.....that's the way to go....BGB.....numbers up? I wouldn't know that stuff......but the quality is waaay down......it has forced me to find other choices though.....and invest in XM!
 
the numbers are up compared to what? since tony got there they haven't come near the numbers that the station had. so yes the last book maybe up from the book before but they aren't even close to what they did in the past(before tony). and yes i do have an axe to grind because the way that station used to be made my day at work a little more fun. now i cant wait til 6pm to get in my car and put on Sirius. and the double play weekends over and over? sounds like laziness to me. it used to be creative and fresh something that was fun but now????

so yes greater media killed my station so there's my axe!
 
Going from a 3.0, to a 4.0, to a 4.2, in a year is improvement any way you slice it. It may not be what it was, but it's still steady improvement and they're now beating Q104.3 to again be the #1 rock station in the market. It seems that the more changes they've made the past year, the better the ratings have gotten. You can't judge somebody by one bad book. Tony seems to have settled in and is making inroads towards getting back to the numbers they once enjoyed on DHA.
 
they are still over a full point from what it used to be so it looks like they went from a reall bad book.....to just a bad book......just thank god that tony paige morning show was just temp. (i hope)
 
Wow..... Tony Paige is a good guy. I worked with him on Long Island for a few years, and he was always a fair and fun guy. His passion was always production, and he won many awards with his material. I'm sorry to see such personal attacks on his ability. I'm guessing that the attackers are just a wee bit jealous that they are not running things. Being the boss is never easy~ Difficult choices and such. If the numbers have risen, then he is doing his job, and that is why he was hired. If you don't like how he sounds, you are free to listen to another station.
 
WOW indeed there Geodon!! Only took someone nearly a month to respond to such "negative" comments about Tony. Did you need the months time to research the content to formulate such an "intriguing" response? I have always believed that being the BOSS DOES suck but in THIS case so does the talent which is what I believe the original poster was implying. Personally I agree which is why I DO listen elsewhere. This post actually inspired me to check and see if GM actually came to their senses and LOST THE LOSER or if they're still content on "double-play weekends" and lame on-air promotions. When I heard the boring NON-ALL REQUEST lunch hour...I had my answer.

Thank God for OTHER mediums of entertainment...

Love the transparent posts I tell ya! That is ALMOST as funny as him playing an album cut from GNR like a year ago with cursing...all while my kids were in the car. Granted its nothing that they haven't already heard elsewhere I'm sure but if you're "THE BOSS" shouldn't you be setting a higher standard for the SUBordinates?? Man oh man...the station that WAS!

I am not, repeat, NOT Tony Paige.... If I were, things would be done differently, and you would still be listening to DHA. I usually don't even check the Jersey radio board, but I had time, and decided to respond. No need to bite my head off. I worked with Tony waaay back in 2000-2003. At the time he was the production director, and we did have a load of fun. When he became the PD at the station, he changed big time. He thought everyone was out to get his job, and he became super paranoid about it. As I said previously, being the boss does sometimes stink, and you agreed. I can't get DHA here on the east end of LI, and its a shame that he hasn't changed the double play weekend crap....believe me, I remeber it happening at RCN, and people hated it then too. Maybe he'll read these posts and do something about it. But then again, probably not. I also agree that he should set the bar higher and lead by example. Do you work in radio ? Just wondering......

Agreed, 'DHA is a nothing like the blazing, daring rocker I used to listed to on trips back and forth to college in PA.

No, Geodon most certainly isn't TP. And many R-I readers don't read or post everyday. LI radio has tanked just like many of you report that NJ radio has. But IMHO, a little more decorum and less attacks on other posters would be appreciated, and help to make this board more productive. Disagree all you want, but don't go out of your way to shred others. Or at least be as funny as some of the posters on the Portland Radio Guide - pdxradio.com
 
I really used to enjoy DHA- It has gone downhill......I heard Rob Moorehead is back somewhere....(posted on this board awhile back) what dial position and station is he on and can I get it in Somerset?
