I recently caught a little bit of this format on its affiliate station in Sandusky, OH (1450 WLEC) and it seems they have modified it into a very '80s-based soft AC. It now sounds like America's Best Music during that "New Variety of ABM" phase in the early '00s, or the defunct ABC Unforgettable Favorites. It seems like they'll often play two or three '80s songs in a row, and I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they play Madonna. They still do play the occasional standard but it's usually in a contemporary rendition - I heard "A Kiss To Build A Dream On" by Ann Hampton Callaway.

Anyone else heard this format lately and if so what are your impressions?
