Dial Global will keep the CBS Radio Network brand until 2017

Why would they ever want to ditch a historic name with universal recognition?

I doubt they ever would.

Only if CBS pulled the plug on the licensing agreement would such a step be taken IMO.

Thats if CBS wants to buy back the CBS Radio Network Name form Dial Global between 2016 and 2017.

I know "CBS Radio Network" went to Dial Global (Formerly Westwood One) around the late 1990's when CBS was about to merge with Viacom and Infinity Inc. Somewhere in the deal "CBS radio Network" was supposed to go to Westwood one so CBS/Viacom can get the Infinity stations in that process.
