Dial Global

Is anyone having trouble getting thru to Dial Global? I called and waited 4 hours yesterday and finally someone returned my call, But they were in a foul mood. I Called Netops this morning and about got my head ripped off for wegener auth for TRN Programming. Dial Global in the past has been always nice, now angry. Can we assume now that DG stands for Dollar General instead of Dial Global?

I'm not sure about you, but I had a cutoff/switchover date of 10/15 to get a new Dial Global receiver up and running. It is possible they are getting bombarded by last minute installs. I think we received our new receiver about a month in advance.

I am having the same experience as the original poster. I have been to this station 3 times in the last 4 weeks trying to get this thing authorized for TRN...called, left messages, emailed, etc...nothing. I called TRN higher ups today and made my complaints...but they seemed as frustrated with Dial Global as I was. I get the feeling they will not be killing the legacy feed tomorrow as planned.

PD finally forwarded the "8-days left" e-mail to engineering, with 7 days to go. Never saw the Sept. 30 e-mail from TRN.
We were already up with other programming. For the TRN transistion we've had plenty of E-mails & even a follow-up call from them late one evening. TRN was there with 6 dayas to go and delay recording's up & running. All is well tonight.

ymmv

Same problems here. Got notified over a month ago we were getting a receiver for the TRN changeover. Never got the receiver until we checked into it and was told we were never placed on a list for the shipment. That was two weeks ago. Got the receiver, but figured out we had an existing one already in the rack that would work just fine. They sent a call tag for the other receiver. E-mailed several times to get existing receiver authorized. No response. Called several times, voice mail only....with no return calls. Tuesday afternoon, received a form to fill out so they could program the receiver. Last communication until this morning. Finally got a call from Fred Wilcox and the receiver got programmed. Between TRN and DG, someone has really dropped the ball on this one. NEVER had a rude tech at DG until the past few weeks. Including someone loudly pounding her fist on the desk and getting very vocally rude while I was trying to ask a simple question. Totally uncalled for. Not impressed with DG these days, but I suspect their techs are getting a lot of work being dumped in their laps with no additional help.
