Dick Biondi has passed away

He played at it at WLS in February of 63. Vee Jay was in the Chicago area. He did play it At KRLA that summer.

That's not what he says in the video. But Wikipedia agrees with you. I don't see an exact timeline for when he left for LA.

Please Please Me by "The Beattles," as shown on the record label (Vee Jay 498), was on the Silver Dollar Survey of 3/8/1963 at #40. That survey was the 3rd week that the song appeared. Biondi was still with WLS at that time.
