Dick Clark Birthday Special

Oldies Radio 1620 will be running "The Dick Clark Birthday Special with Jimmy Jay" Saturday November 28th at 5 PM and again Monday November 30th at Noon and maybe again later in the day. It will consist of interviews and greetings from guests that appeared on the show. Punch us up online, www.oldiesradio1620.com, see what your missing!

If you have not checked out this station as of yet, do yourself a favor and give it a listen. Lot's of great "oh wow" tunes and great sounding audio. Can't wait for wireless internet for in car listening to catch on. I understand it's just around the corner.

I would love to give this a listen, but I've never been able to get any of the links to play, on any computer, at home or at work. What am I missing?

John

You might to try to download the latest version of Windows Media Player, that seems to be about the best one that works for us.

Dave...I have the most recent Windows Media Player. When I click on your link it goes to a blank screen with this http://38.96.148.19:9900 on it. When I click on Real Player, which I also have, the player opens, cranks a while, then says it can't connect to the server.

John & Babe

Still say you've got to check and update Windows Media Player. Its been running non stop on another computer I use for monitoring for over a week now.

Its also available at www.receiva.com and at iTunes

I'm always amazed by those that disrespect the older generation. Kind of stupid. You can make fun of people of different races, genders, religions, etc, but... what the Hell? If you're lucky, and Karma doesn't smack you too hard, you too will be old someday. I'm betting you'll be the first to scream "Foul!" when some "young whippersnapper" offends you. I hope you make it to Dick Clark's age. Good luck.

Thanks Freddy well said Drop me an email when you get a chance.

By the way, for those still not having luck with getting the station via Windows Media Player, I had to take out Real Player, install Windows Media Player 10 and its fine, loud and clear. Makes me wonder what Real Player is doing.

Hey Freddie
I agree with you. One thing I'd like to add is some of the most talented
people that I know in the entertainment business are 70+
STILL making great music, STILL selling out shows...In fact I just
hosted my annual Christmas Show in York Sat. night with Grand Ole Opry
members Jean Shepard who is 76, and Jeannie Seely 68 We had a sell out house.
These people are not like the younger generation of musicians who must use PRO TOOLs
to stay on key. I would put any young country singer up against the Great Ray Price
who at 82 is singing just as good if not better than he did 50 years ago.
I have a deep respect for these people who have excelled in the entertainment
business and continue delivering stellar performances for their audiences.
