"Rock, Roll and Remember" starts this Sunday from
6PM to 10PM with Dick Clark on WICK. The show is
one of the best syndicated oldies venues.
Speaking of WICK, the show is a natural extension
of the Rock and Roll Day in History now on WICK.
On a personal note, went to Wysox Labor Day. (My
woodcutting sister and her husband have a place there).
Got 1340 all the way to Tunkhanock, then switched to
1400 where I had them all the way to Laceyville. It
was the daytime but nonetheless, they came in loud
and clear and sounded good.

P.S. By the way, the book "A Radio Story" is now
available at Wegmans in both Wilkes Barre and Dickson.

With all due respect, I must disagree. The music mix is
certainly better than it was, the air talent has been
coached and are improving constantly and the signal is clear.
Now those might be basic staples one might expect from a radio
station...but remember where WICK was just a few months ago.
I see the addition of the program as a type of messaage that
says "we are committed to this genre and this type of format."
It'll never be a super biller or top ratings leader, but it
can be a nice, little community based AM that is pleasing to
the listener. And if they can break even or make a little
profit to boot, then that's a successful radio operation.
