Dick Clark

The local AC station in my area (102.3 WSUS) carried Dick Clark's "US Music Survey" on Sunday mornings, but they are dropping it in favor of American Top 10 with Casey Kasem.

There are a number of possibilities as to why. It may be nothing.

Perhaps Dick Clark isn't returning to do his radio shows due to his health and age. Does anyone know if he will do any more radio shows? Will someone else host the US Music Survey?

The other possibility is that the station, just decided to drop it for a new program.

Pick up the latest National Enquirer and look at the photos of Dick. You may then understand why he's not coming back.

Thanks, but no thanks. I don't trust the Enquirer.<P ID="signature">______________

He's scheduled to host New Years Rockin' Eve on Saturday night with Ryan Seacrest. While we don't know how much he will be in the program, unless something has changed since earlier today when I saw the commerical, Dick Clark WILL be there.

As for US Music Survey, at this point there is no way to tell if Dick Clark will ever return. Mark Wallengren has been filling in each week, and is doing a nice job. One of our local AC stations runs both Casey and Dick, and has continued to run US Music Survey.

Part of the reason also is US Music Survey is more current-music based whereas Casey's show runs plenty of golds all the way back to the late 60's.

Email the station...i'm sure they will be glad to tell you why they switched!

Thanks, the US Music Survey is a pretty good program, even with Mark sitting in. I will email the station.

Question: Does Mark Wallengren do a morning show in Los Angeles?

I hate to think that Seacrest is taking over for New Years....yuck!

Yes he does, on KOST 103.5, a Clear Channel AC (also interesting, since he is guest hosting hosting US Music Survey which is not Premiere, but rather United Stations)
