Dick Clark's planned return

It will be great to see Dick Clark back in Times Square on New Year's Eve, counting down to the arrival of 2006.

Regis Philbin did a pretty good job last year filling-in for Clark, but it wasn't the same.

And it won't be the same after Clark is gone. Can't imagine wanting to bother with the show when the "new" host takes over... With Clark there you knew that there would usually be artists that all ages could enjoy. It will be interesting to see if the show becomes just anoth TRL with it's new producer/host.

I'm sure we'll all be rooting for Dick, myself included! I know what it is like to be "testing the waters" after such a debilating issue such as a stroke (I'm a stroke survivor myself since 1991). But I'm glad Dick is going ahead in his participation with this year's "Rockin' New Year's Eve" special. I'm sure it will be very inspirational that he will do this and show millions of people that having a stroke is NOT the end of the world. You CAN come back! All the best to Dick and his continued recovery!

You know, I don't even bother with the musical acts anymore. I just tune in around 11:55 and then tune out once Dick has finished the countdown ...<P ID="signature">______________
