I am just glad he's back on the radio someplace. I worked with him briefly.
He's a class act. It just shows you how our business has declined when a guy like him is not working in it.

Dick Heatherton and his Sister Joey

I worked with Dick at Transtar/Unistar in L.A. Nice guy, very humble. He left to pursue his Career in Real Estate, and this was about 1988.

Re: Dick Heatherton and his Sister Joey

I hope that Dick made a killing in real estate and is now ready to have fun back on the radio.

How are you?
Who are you?
Where are you? a
and
What are you?

Never got the chance to hear him...

Just worked with Dick and 100 other top announcers at the Network. If slogans count, I would say Tom Clay's "I don't like ya, I love ya", was a classic, along with Austin Powers "wherever you go, there you are", yeah!

Re: Dick Heatherton Expressions

This was often how Dick Heatherton would start his show. I heard him ask at WCBS-FM and at WFIL.

Other expressions I remember:

Calling himself, "The leader of lasgnaland."

Calling The Beach Boys, "The Botchaboys."

He had others, but these are the ones that stuck with me.

He was not your dry and boring disc jockey. He had personality.
