Dick Nitelinger has passed away

The sad news came from Tim Cuprisin yesterday that Dick has died at the age of 51 of a heart attack as he shovled Sunday's snow. It's still a shock, especially because he said a week ago he was following up his book on Milwaukee television with a book about the radio side. It was so sudden; I only knew him through debates on Wikipedia over fair use, and have been working through the last few hours to put his userpage in memorial mode and ask for help writing a proper memorial to him on the Wikipedia editor memorial page.

My sympathies to his families and friends, and as I've said in other forums, I was glad that his tireless research into the TV history book was well-recognized. I will always remember him for that, and I know that though others might carry on that research, he will always be remembered for his wonderful work into such a colorful topic.
