Seems like Clear Channel's latest truths came out a little in advance of the preview of the new 96 Rock POTENTIAL morning
show hosts Dick & Stone (see the 99X thread below for more.) Appears that all the cost cutting and uneasiness
caused Dick & Stone to just say no to CC. One of them, I dunno which, said in an e-mail and on the phone that
with people loosing their jobs, that they felt it was not the right time to come in and make the income they were quoted.
Just to much uncertainty --- even for radio! Wow! Sounds like normal guys! They would have probably been refreshing.
Guess it'll be piped in jibber-jabber. I know some other folks who post here may have more info. I'll leave it at that,
since there are lots of dark days all over CC's markets as of late.
 
What are you even talking about!? I read your post below (as you suggested) and you didn't even know where this fictitious morning show was from, had only heard 3-4 bits ever, didn't really know their names and no one else could find out about them either.... Now you are talking with them on the phone and via email!? How about filling in some of the gaps? Where are they from, what are their names, where do they do their show?

I think this who subject is a prank.
 
f10 - I didn't talk to them directly on the phone myself, it would be kinda hard to do that since I am nowhere near the ATL building.
I was asked my opinion about them after hearing some of their tape...as related to the programming side and how they would
work or how necessary it would be to perhaps rework the programming. I was told the no go news, along with other business in
passing, today. I will try to fill in the gaps, but where they are from and who they are was not really important. Honestly, I thought
they were confirmed, so I didn't ask for life stories, figuring I'd know when I met them. What I know/knew --- they are not
a team working together on the air currently or in the recent past. But they have individual track records and sounded as they had
longterm experience. They are not in another market. It wasn't a FBI hearing! If it was a prank, stupid me. That's would be a serious longshot. Make that impossible.
 
Somebody has messed with us all. Tibbs2, dude, for shame. I always take your posts somewhat seriously, you mattered man. Now, you're just another troublemaker headed to Losertown with a one way ticket. The only way to redeem yourself is to come up with some tangible links to the mythical "Dick and Stone".
