Dickey's on the ball

680 The Fan is now running liners promoting their morning show referring to all the radio chaos.

I would have thought by now the River would be promoting itself as the only Classic Hits station in Atlanta but not yet...at least I don't think so. Anyone else finds this strange?

That's interesting considering they've had some changes lately. I haven't heard Jamie Dukes in the studio in a long time. Mark Stolsberger (spelling?) has taken the update chair and Perry has moved up to 2nd banana. Jamie seems to be reduced to a call-in cameo once a show. What up?

I don't usually listen to 680 in the morning, but Jamie's absence in recent weeks could have something to do with his duties on the NFL Network. Just a thought.

with Jamie out, all Atlanta has left in am sports talk is 5 guys on 2 stations who never played the game.

Jamie brought a little 'been there, done that' to Rude's show. With him out, it's not the same.

How does he get out of his contract to do NFL network duties? ???

Not sure if you're aware of this but there's a concept called an "agent" and what he does is something called "negotiate".

Perfect situation for Dickey, he gets to pay Jamie less while still selling him as part of the show. The ratings don't matter anyway.

oh stop with the they need an athlete bs. belue is boring in the afternoon , he was an athlete, most athletes suck on radio. what do they honestly tell you that you cant deduce for yourself, its sports for chrissakes, not rocket surgery. your best sports radio hosts and tv sports broadcasters arent ex players. Most athletes are idiot savants, they are great at what they do but not much else.

thanks for the tip ::)

What I meant was: does the NFL network have to pay Dickie while they use Dukes, or does Dickie just let him go, not pay him while he's gone, thinking it's good pub?
