Did 640 WHLO Switch to Oldies?

I'm listening to the live streaming on 640 WHLO Akron. I just heard I Wish by Stevie Wonder. Then a jingle saying "WHLO Rewind Weekend." Now it's Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison, followed by Summer Breeze by Seals and Crofts. Then a break at the top of the hour for ABC News. (The liner says "WHLO Akron. When the music stops, that's news.")

I suppose there's no rule that says a station that runs Talk Radio programming on weekdays can't switch to Oldies on the weekend. But I don't know of any other iHeart Talk station that starts playing 1960s and 70s hits on Saturdays and Sundays.

You didnt look too hard then. K-Fire 550 Bismarck, ND's been doing talk weekdays and oldies at least part of both weekend days for years

Apparently, just a holiday special. According to their Facebook page, they did it on 4th of July weekend also.
