Did 710am make a PM Drive decision?

Last I heard they were desperate to fix PM drive after admitting a mistake with Dave Damashek? I know they put him on some podcast show rather than buy him out for a few months to go away(typical cheap ass management move) but they were trying to do something that would get them better than the .3 number.

Knowing how myopic ESPN is, do they stick with the anonymous no names who yell as loud as the other dreadful sports hacks in LA and just pump the "brand name" - or will they hire a legit show to compete with 570's equally loud Petros scream-fest?

No other major city has less sports talk talent than LA and if they pooled the best talent from every station, they couldn't staff a single 24/7 operation without using many hours of network filler.

Thoughts?

They've made an offer. Negotiating. Don't be afraid radiohater, to actually be on the inside.

I'm not afraid of anything. Just laugh at how bad this business is from afar. I'm very happy being OUTSIDE of this farce.

yea, thats why you troll radio message boards, you hate it so much, and its such a terrible business.
the business is fine, for well prepared sales people, programmers and hosts.
the rest, are out of luck.
Who's the best in each department, will not come down to opinion anymore, PPM's will deliver the death blow for the marginal people.
thank god.

...now that this thread has more views than the "Station PD Larry Gifford Built" has listeners. And now that the unrated KLAA is outbilling KSPN you can bet these guys are paniced. Their USC football tickets will only take them so far as Larry has no doubt figured out. I haven't heard him boast about taking his station to number one in the market in over a year now...right now he's praying ppm doesn't cause the station to fall below the line. How you doin Lar?!

So their PM drive decision is soon to be announced and will it matter? Truly, will it matter? No. So relax, enjoy their endless and mindnumbing pregame show before the SC OSU game and keep wondering how in the world guys like Brian Long and king of the nasal tone, Dave Denholm, actually have jobs in a major market. Dameshek has got to be laughing all the way to the bank...

wow, this has turned ugly and all I did was ask a question! Bordeaux seems to know what's going on; perhaps we should defer all contract and inside radio matters to him from now on?
