Did 96.9 have a glitch this morning?

Yes.com is a bit of a mess these days. It never seems to work right. Do you know if there is another website that keeps track of playlists?

who ever is there weekend board op needs a few lesson, they constantly air promos over the music often airing two things at once!! Not sure what the problem is.

Their entire sound processing has been questionable. Some songs sound ok, others are too loud and some are distorted. Their music scheduling is a little odd too. I listened for 4 hours one day and I heard return of the Mack twice. Really?

Some songs seem to be on power rotation, including some of their "throwbacks." I hear TLC's "Creep" an awful lot.

The segues between songs seems kind of odd at times too, with the promo going over the first several words of songs at times. I wouldn't think that there would be board ops manually playing songs since they are jockless, but maybe the trigger times are a bit off. They seem to have settled their sound processing as well, going with the Greater Media signature "not too crunched" sound--although several of the songs themselves seem to be too loud pre-processed, so it sounds distorted on air. Justin Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me" is a prime example--they may have programmed it in after a faux version of the song aired several times as discussed on this board earlier.

Yes.com is very glitchy. It works well for some stations, but not so well for others.

I've heard the same thing, and it sounds like a "listening and editing" issue. I don't know what automation program they're using over there, but it's usually a quick fix to adjust starts and EOM's. The time consuming process is actually listening to the tracks, liners, sweepers, and promos to determine what needs to be fixed.

This is the result of putting a new station up in a God-awful hurry, and relying on computers to do the job that your brain can do better. This is the result, unfortunately.
