Did 97.7 move to GBH today?

I just noticed that I now have a nice null in WBOT's signal now when I point Southwest. It was never there before tonight. They also have RDS on, which was never there before tonight!

Did they turn on their IBOC out of the gate?

NO, fortunately!!!! You'll be pleased to know that 100.7 and 104.1 did put it on though. This is awful. I'm going to look into a way to phase out the IBOC signals. 103.9 WOCN's signal is really hurting.

I just discovered BCN but not ZLX as I was checking out 97.7 which now over powers whatever comes from the Keene area.

Hey HD,

I have to ask are you an engineer for Greater Media??

They must be transmitting from there. I passed by Blue Hill on I-93/I-95/US 1 between Boston and Providence by that messed-up interchange (I-95 Exit 12 and I-93 Exit 1). The WBOT-FM signal was at its best on my Sony Walkman in that vicinity.

Just wondering why you had such a woody for a flawed technology?

So, if this is true, what are they broadcasting from? Did they diplex into the GBH antenna system? Hang something lower on the side of the GBH tower below the pole?

If this is true, they moved pretty quickly.
