Did An Atlanta GM Do This?

This is from today's Inside Music Media:

http://insidemusicmedia.blogspot.com/

Turns out one of my Repeater Reporters got wind of an Atlanta GM's attempt at motivating his sales department. The GM reportedly played Alec Baldwin's rant from Glengarry Glen Ross, the 1992 movie about the behind the scenes operation of a real estate office. The clip, as submitted by my reader, is full of insults and obscene language -- some directed at the alternative life style of other employees with children. Give a listen, but you've been warned. Some motivation, eh?

Is it for real?

I think it may be here. I drove by Clear Channel this afternoon and saw a three sales people; one driving a Cadillac, one with a set of steak knives and a third with a bankers box.

The sales dudes with the steak knives and banker's box had just been told to clean out their desks; the third guy was returning his station-leased Cadillac to the dealership. Ah, the woes of downsizing.(Just joking. Who knows anymore?)

Yes. It's for real. Bonehead move of the year.

Yes, an Atlanta GM did do this and he's my GM. It was not a very smart move.

Just gotta ask...which station(s) was this GM employee at that pulled this incredibly stupid move? We can leave names out of this.

I will stay classy and refrain from name calling...but I will say that I would not even hire this person to clean toilets.

Wow. Please do name call letters or names. I'm in the job market right now but I'm not going to work for someone like that.
