Did anyone hear Zenner on Bickley show today?

He was on to pimp his new magazine which I have no problem with, but it really sounds like a vapid, overly stylistic "sports" magazine. He was saying "you won't ever see a picture of an athlete wearing his jersey, instead, you get pictures of their homes, and of them posing with $400,000 cars!

Do we need another ultra hip wannabe slick oversized photo magazine like Razor, but devoted to local sports folk?

I have no desire to read it, it sounds like all flash and no stuff.

But, I will reserve final judgement until I see the first issue.

I heard him friday morning and am interested in picking up an issue of it. Not sure how long it will last considering that magazines aren't as popular as they use to be and the fact that it's all about arizona sports and since most people are transplants they aren't as passionate about the local teams as they are for there old "home" team.

Was kind of bummed out that while he was on the air that Tom didn't make much mention of him leaving the airwaves. Oh well, good luck with it though Tom, sounds like a good idea.

I just don't know if this city can support a splashy mag like that.

Honestly, it won't last. No matter how good or bad it is. The reality is, how many magazines really make it anymore? Especially a select specialty magazine like that.

Granted that doesn't mean I don't want it to work out cause Tom's a good guy, I've worked with him in the past, and he's a hard worker, IMO. I wish him the best and he can count on at least 1 copy being sold, well that is if I can find it.
