Did anyone notice the programming cooperation between WLBT and WAFB

Did anyone notice the programming cooperation between WLBT and WAFB in Baton Rouge? The Skycopter 3 tapes of the Morganza Spillway opening? I think the guy with the helicopter won out. They took some good pictures of the spillway being opened. When you compared others had, a little help between neighbors helps. And one day someone is going to make a program which includes all the news tape and tell about the floods of 2011.

I live in Biloxi and I did notice that. Great job on the coverage, because this is going to cause
problems for our area.

The cooperation is not surprising as WLBT and WAFB are both owned by Raycom Media, in addition to WDAM in Laurel, WLOX in Biloxi and WTVA in Tupelo among other stations. It's actually a great idea, in that each station can call on the sister station where a major event is happening and get their reporters to report the story. WLBT and WLOX did this during the oil spill chaos a good bit.

WTVA is owned by the Spain family in Tupelo, unless it has been sold recently.
Raycom also owns several stations in Alabama plus the Robert trent Jones golf
courses.
