Did anyone record?

Did anyone record the "official" beginning of WDJO today? If so, please post it on yousendit.com.

Thanks.

Interesting Dusty started his first show on WDJO with the first song he played on WSAI 1530 - Bobby Vee's "Take Good Care Of My Baby".

I wish everyone at WDJO the best of luck!

It was also the first song Dusty ever played on Cincinnati radio, at the original WSAI 1360 in 1961

Thenks for that.

Would you mind posting the entire 3 hours?

Great choice then - Dusty's comment about being on all those frequencies was hilarious.

I've never heard "Dusty" by the Rag Dolls (producer Bob Crewe's attempt to create a female 4 Seasons) on any Oldies show or station growing up in the southwest. (first time was a Mp3 downloaded off a newsgroup) My guess it wasnt a regional hit down here.

I hope WDJO can achieve some success despite the limited signal. It will be interesting to see what this format can achieve on a indie station without corporate BS keeping things "safe and tested", little or no promotion budget, or pulling the plug for another boring talk format.

Thanks again for more of the first day. Can't wait for the stream to start.

Thanks again for the second mp3. Try encoding at a lower bit rate in mono for a longer playing time.

Does anyone know the female announcer on the last few songs of the 10,000 song countdown? At first I thought it might be Nancy James from WSAI/Adult Standards fame.

Sounds like most of the weekend has been jockless. I heard Jack Stahl late morning/early Saturday afternoon and Roger K. later Saturday afternoon.

I assume this is only a temporary thing; I'm willing to bet that the DJs will VT weekends and overnights.

I missed the party at Jim & Jack's last night. Any mention of bringing "Dial-A-Hit" back on Saturday nights?

I went to Jim and Jack's right after work Saturday night. Got there at 10:30pm. The station van was there, but if there were on-air personalities there, I'm not aware of it. I was too late. Bummer.

However...the place was PACKED! I'd never been there before, so I'm not sure if that's normal for them on a Saturday night or not. People were indeed dancin to the oldies though. Good signs, good signs.
