Did Anyone See Letterman's Show Last Night?

He did the traditional Thanksgiving show where he would have his mom on and he would try to guess what pie she's baking. I've always gotten a kick out of Dorthy. She kind of reminds me of my mom.<P ID="signature">______________

What I don't understand is, he always says she is in Indiana. But if it's afternoon, why was it pitch black outside her window? And, how did she just happen to have a microhpone?

I believe Late Show tapes about 530pm in New York which means it was, what, an hour earlier in Indiana?? Here in Massachusetts, its dark at 4pm this time of year. That would be why it was dark outside her window.

Why did she have a microphone?? Ummmm....so we could hear her?? It's not like she was surprised that a cameraman was suddenly standing in her kitchen. They do this every year.

Remember the saying, "a mother has eyes in the back of her head." In the case of Dave's mom, she always has a microphone in her hand (and a camera near the oven).

Depends on where you are... MOST of Indiana is on EST year round (though changing) but the NW part (Lake and Porter counties) are on CST/CDT, iirc, since they're directly adjacent to Chicago and many people there work in or with Chicago.
