Did Channel 955 stop doing mixshows?

As I'm listening online right now "Premium Choice" dump is on right now... not to mention there was no mix last Friday and Saturday. I really hope CC is not sending this station to a different direction, it's one of my favorite CHRs! :(

I'm surprised that WKQI still has The Bomb Squad mixers on their webpage. But given the recent ratings slide and the tight race they're in with WDZH and WDVD, we could see some wholesale changes in store for Channel 95.5 very soon, like what happened at WIOQ. I don't expect them to stay Rhythmic-leaning for much longer either now that WDTW has that area covered thanks to their ratings bump.

Ya and I have made so many emails complaining.. Here is the mixes they have left on the radio...
________________
9' O Clock Beatdown (Weeknights 900 - 925)
Friday Night Mixtape (11 PM - 1 AM Friday Night)
Club 955 (1-2 AM Friday night) - This mixshow was cut by 1 hour recently
Clutch Cargos Club mix (10-1 AM Saturday Night)
Tonic Nightclub (10-2 AM Sunday Night)

Ya it seems like enough but compared to how they used to frequently mix, its not a lot... Not to mention the Friday Night Mixtapes seem to be just the 9 PM beatdown mixes replayed, but I listen to those mixes so listening to the friday night mixtape is useless. Now look below for the mixes they have removed since 2009.
__________________
Weekend rollout (5 PM - 6 PM Friday) COMPLETELY GONE
Club 955 (Formally 1-3 AM Friday nights, Now just 1-2 AM)
The Pulse (3-5 AM Saturday Morning) COMPLETELY GONE
The saturday night bomb ( 8 - 10 PM Saturday night) COMPLETELY GONE
Wyld 955 (1 - 3 AM Saturday Nights) - COMPLETELY GONE
Ministry Of House ( 2 - 4 AM Sunday Mornings ) - COMPLETELY GONE
Mini Mixes (They used to do 9 minute 55 second mini mixes around the holidays and the summer, but not anymore) COMPLETELY GONE
Full Day mixes ( Formally on certain holidays like labor day they had the bomb squad mix all day long, but not anymore) COMPLETELY GONE

Above you may see that Wyld 955 and the ministry of house are overlapping. Well thats because Wyld 955 used to happen at 1-3 AM and a house mix came on at 3-5... But later Wyld 955 was cut to 1-2 AM allowing the ministry of house to bump down to 2-4 Am.

The point is 955 has removed so many of their mixes so far... Making me angry, even know I will enjoy tonight's 8 PM to 4 AM live tonic nightclub mix.... Then probably back to the normal..

Don't know why they did it... 987 Amp radio has mixes on saturday night until 4 AM and I believe its about the same on Friday night. But I prefer 955 mixes because amp radio mixers don't scratch one bit.

Thanks for the list... I'm also disappointed. I hate that 9-5-5 put on cookie cutter shows (Saturday Night Online, Premium Choice) to cut down local programming. They once live/local 24/7... they were the station I put on my Blackberry for mixes, plus the only station that started mixshows very early (8PM)!

EXACTLY! I loved the saturday night bomb... That was like a must listen to for me... DJ Shortstop and Nick Craig did the saturday night bomb for years and Shortstop absolutely killed it(In a good way). But then Paul Martindale started doing the SNB which I liked, but not as much as shortstops mix. But do gotta say he does a great job at the club sunday night.

With the premium choice stuff... HATE IT! (Saturday night online,Club Kane, and Dawson McAllister). Ya they save a lot of money but I seriously would take the mixes back instead of the giveaways. I mean look at their ratings! Its went from 4.7 to 3.8 since October! Keep removing those mixes and you will be down to 2.

Did 9-5-5 do the mix until 4 AM? I turned 9-5-5 on at 11PM before getting into a club and they went back to regular music. WHAT A SHAME!

No they did it till 2 AM... I recorded the mix but the online player got an error at around 1230 AM so I only got 8-1230. I will check my recording to see what happened at 11 PM. What I do is cut all the commercials out and put the mixes on my ipod.

Also thats why I know the friday night mixtapes are just the 9 PM beatdown.. I recorded the 9 PM beatdowns one week and then I recorded the friday night mixtapes and they were the same exact mixes except with a different DJ and mix identification.

Oh and just listened in at about 11 pm and they didn't got back to regular music. They might of at some point thought because when they do those contests at the club the bump it off the radio and put either another mix or regular music for those 10 minutes.

Ahh man DJ Shortstop just did mixed the 9' O Clock beatdown and it was the BEST mix I have ever heard... I sure hope they replay that during the friday night mixtape because I gotta get this on my iPod for sure.

I'm really glad they put the Ministry of House back on Saturday nights at 1-3am! Listening right now and DJ David B is rocking it! 8) BTW, WYLD 955 is back as well, now on at 3-4am.

Now, I hope they bring back "The Pulse", which was formerly on at late Friday nights. Other than that, thank you 955! You're back to being my favorite station!

Ya I am glad too. And actually The MOH is on from 1-3 AM and The Saturday Night Overdrive is on 3-5 AM. Its awesome, but I agree they still need to bring back some mixshows. Especially the Saturday night bomb, which btw was my favorite.

It took DJ David B some major fighting to get this show back. I helped a little bit with a petition which a few amount signed. Clear Channel New York is whos removing the mixshows, which I am hating. Guessing it has to do with financial problems.

Wait, Clear Channel New York has control of programming? I thought the moves came from the PD or those bozos down in San Antonio...

I'm guessing they have to cut down on mixshows since PPM has been a real pain, which thanks to that, some stations remove speciality shows, such as mixshows...
