Did Cumulus drop the Billy Bush show from their CHR's?

I noticed Billy Bush is no longer on here in Atlanta and some other stations that were carrying the show. Did Cumulus finally realize what an awful show it was and Billy is totally irrelevant to a nighttime CHR audience?

It looks like they have dropped the show, at least for now. He has been scrubbed from some of the station's websites, but not from others. Although none of those stations have aired the program the last couple of nights. No big loss.

I noticed that the Billy Bush weekend countdown is not being heard in my area this morning either. While the weeknight show was god awful, the countdown was fine for what is was.

This could end up as another CMT Live with Cody Alan situation. Cumulus pulled that from the country stations earlier in the year, then put it back on after a few weeks. It is probably a financial dispute with syndicator Dial Global. If the suits in the ATL pulled the Billy Bush night show based on it being awful, they should have done that long ago! It would actually make a decent midday show, but it is not suited for nights on a CHR.

BB is terrible. Is his TV show even popular? I'd never even heard of him before Cumulus started airing his show. I think it's worse than even Ryan Seacrest. I like afternoons and nights live on CHR more than any other time, especially interactive night shows (CC is good about this).
I don't see how it could help ratings.

I read on the Atlanta board that Adam Bomb from KLIF/Dallas was voicetracking nights on Q100 for the past couple of weeks. Even a voicetracker would be better, IMO.

Are there ANY other Cumulus CHR's still running BB? I ask because as I mentioned in another thread, WJXY in Myrtle Beach is carrying it according to their website, and they're Cumulus.

I have a feeling BB is done for good on most of the Cumulus stations. Q100 in Atlanta has created their own countdown show that has replaced his. If it were a contract dispute, I highly doubt they would create their own show for just a couple of weekends.

Thank God. I don't understand why Cumulus put him on in the first place.

I don't think it was just Cumulus. I heard that KBIG dropped the show a few weeks ago, and Hot 97.5 in Phoenix isn't carrying the show. I've been meaning for the last couple nights to check KEYW in Tri-Citties WA, but haven't yet. My theory is that the show has ended.

Your theory would be incorrect, the show is still around. http://billybushshow.com/pg/jsp/listings/radio/searchforlistings.jsp

It may still be around, but those listings are not up to date. Neither is the WeekendCountdown chart that is on that site. They are still listing all of the Cumulus stations that have dropped the weeknight and countdown shows. They were never good about keeping the website up to date.

Looks like Cumulus announced the drop yesterday. Could this also explain why the Retro Pop Reunion didn't come on on WQSM this last weekend? I always make a point to listen to that show these days. Good thing I found another station. BTW, KEYW is still carrying the show.

That's what I originally thought, and it seems to be that way on the Cumulus stations, they announced it on the 8th. Some other stations are still carrying the show.
