Did FM97 reduce power?

I travel east of Lancaster and usually get FM97 fine to Downingtown and even to West Chester at times. Each of the last 2 nights. The signal was getting weak before Gap and gone between Parkesburg and Coatesville. Anyone know what's up?

I live in Dauphin County and had them on last evening from southern Dauphin County to northern Dauphin County and the signal was as good as ever. No problems this side of Lancaster.

I've always heard that there is a signal blocker in the philly area to block the FM97 signal, because otherwise the signal would reach all the way into Philly. Anyone know anything about this?

Perhaps you are referring to a "directional" transmitting antenna ! They are quite common in both television and FM broadcasting.WJZ,channel 13 in Baltimore uses a directional antenna in order to protect WYOU TV in Wilkes Barre/Scranton.On the FM side,106.5 in Baltimore uses a directional screen to protect a station in central PA.It is side mounted on channels 2,11,and 13 tower in Baltimore. ( A candelabra tower )
I must confess that with 43 years in television engineering,I have never heard of a station using a "signal blocker".
