Did I read this correctly?

CLEAR CHANNEL Rocker WZZO/ALLENTOWN, PA MD/night host CHRIS LINE exits. He's now with CITADEL's crosstown WCTO (CAT COUNTRY 96.1) doing middays.

Yes you did read this correctly, What are they thinking over there. He is such a tool with an ego bigger than the Lehigh Valley. The must be desperate if they hired him, since he probably bitched that he didn't get the WZZO gig and now the funny thing is that the girl that got hired at WZZO is out.

Good for Chris; if I'm not mistaken, he's in a country band... this would get him closer to the market he wants to dive into! I cant imagine ZZO without him though... he's a great personality who has high goals and knows how to market himself well...

I guess time will tell on this one. Citadel generally doesn't make mistakes when it comes to decisions involving WCTO. Unlike LEV, where they never get it right.

they should have just given the Midday show to Zippy cause he sounds more country than Chris!! Why didn't they hire Freddie? I heard Freddie on B-104 the other weekend is that his gig now? did he leave cat country? He should go full time again! Oh Well, I guess we have to listen to Chris Line now do country! Yee haw!

Is it just me or does Zippy sound like a guy who got on the air by winning a contest?

If I remember correctly, he has been there off and on for at least 10 years or so.....I heard him on a Saturday morning a few weeks ago.

he earned it

Zippy got there by doing whatever he was asked to do. I was at the old WLEV when he came in as an intern and did everything he could to be on the air. It seems like he still has that desire. He didn't win a contest, he just refuses to ever go away because he's doing what he loves. Go get 'em Eric!
